Size 12 White Tungsten Eggs

Every egg box needs a curveball, and white is it. Whether trout read these as a fresh, milky egg, a washed-out natural, or simply something different from the parade of pink and orange they've been refusing, white eggs consistently produce when standard colors go cold — especially on pressured Great Lakes tributaries and heavily fished tailwaters.
These size 12s are built for the job: a dense white tungsten bead that drops the fly into the strike zone in a hurry, tied on a barbless hook for fast penetration and clean releases. Fish them exactly like you'd fish any egg — dead-drifted deep along spawning gravel, behind redds, and through the soft inside seams where trout stack up to intercept the drift.
Try one as the point fly with a natural nymph on the dropper, or run it solo when the water's up and visibility is limited. Sometimes the brightest fly in the box is the subtlest choice you can make.
