Size 20 Orange Midges

Some days trout want what the naturals are doing. Other days they want orange. These size 20 midges lean into the second truth: a burnt-orange thread body, fine orange dubbing around the collar, and copper wire ribbing create a tiny package with outsized triggering power — the midge equivalent of a hot spot nymph.
Like their olive cousins, they come with your choice of tungsten bead: copper for a warmer, more natural presentation, or fluorescent orange when you need maximum visibility and attraction in deep or off-color water. That flexibility makes them easy to tune to conditions without re-tying your whole rig.
Fish them exactly where you'd fish any midge — as a dropper in a tandem nymph setup, under the smallest indicator you own, or Euro-style through winter holding water. When the natural-colored midges are getting refused and you need to change the conversation, tie on orange.
